The assault resulted in the partial closure of the CTA tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

The arrests come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. Five people went to hospital for medical care and were later released.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals injured by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - which police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
